Resources on Campus

When students arrive at the University of Denver we want them to know that they are in a supportive and caring environment, with students, faculty and staff that are eager to help them in their journey. There are many activities they will participate in during their Discoveries Orientation week (such as meeting with their faculty advisor, connecting with fellow students, and registering for classes) designed to assist them in making a smooth transition to campus. As they settle in to life at DU, they can begin to take advantage of the opportunities that will help them develop new skills, connections and overall wellness. For more information on available campus resources, please see our blog.

important info

Estimated Budget Letters coming in July
Estimated budget letters are informational and can assist you in planning expenses for your student's first year at DU. For more details, refer to the Bursar's website

Transportation Notes
When students arrive on campus, they will receive an RTD pass that gives them free access to public transportation in the city of Denver. Many students also choose to bring their own bikes and skateboards or participate in the Denver B-Cycle program. The University is also partnering with the WeCar program. If your student chooses to bring a car (approximately 50% of students do), he/she must purchase a permit.

HOUSING AND RESIDENTIAL EDUCATION

  • First-year and transfer students are now able to view their room assignments and roommates in their webCentral account.

  • International student move-in day will be on Monday, August 27th at 8:00 a.m.

  • Things students should do BEFORE moving into their room:

    • Go online and get roommate and room assignment information
    • Contact their new roommate to get to know him or her
    • Discuss what to bring with their future roommate (you can find a list of recommended items on the housing site)
    • Give family and friends their on-campus address (receiving mail is always fun!)
